A large part of the Japanese literature of the 1980s was affected by the post-war atmosphere with gloomy and serious styles. Nevertheless, a young man at age of 29 who had been writing after the Jazz club was closed each day received an award for his first novel “Hear the Wind Sing” with his unique casual style. Since then, the door that led Haruki Murakami to writing was opened. Many people like Haruki Murakami’s literature works, but how many people would explore the process of creating a novel from nothing to something? Nevertheless, whenever we met the host, we barely talk about the project or design, but share the words, living habits and even the life attitude of Haruki Murakami. Just like how our conversation is formulated, “Follow the light” was gradually shaped.
1980年代的日本文學，很大一部分因為受戰後氛圍的影響， 散發著陰鬱沉重的文字氣息，然而一位29歲的青年，每天在爵士店打烊後進行寫作，基調輕盈的文字風格讓他以第一部小說《聽風的歌》即獲獎，從此打開村上春樹的寫作之路。 很多人喜歡村上春樹的文學作品，但有多少人會去探究一本小說 從無到有的過程？然而，每每與男主人見面，我們幾乎從不談論 案件、不聊設計，反而是在分享村上春樹的文字、生活習慣至他 的人生態度，《隨光而行》一案就在我們談天的過程中，逐漸構築成形。

We have purposely retracted the terrace inward to create a spacious terrace. So, when the host's friends or relatives pay a visit, they can enjoy the scenery by sitting on the semi-outdoor terrace instead of staying indoors.
刻意將露台往內退縮，藉此寬闊空間尺度，
當有親友來訪時，比起待在室內，
坐在半戶外空間的露台才是享受景色最好的方式。
Going up to the second floor together with the notes played by the hostess, and walking through the skyway-like passage, the horizontal and vertical building structure that surrounds and passes through the vertical void area appears. We have used the suspended stairs to dexterously lead residents to move around in the building.
隨著女主人彈奏出的音符躍上2樓，走過天橋般地走道，橫豎的建築結構環繞貫穿樓面的垂直挑空區，再藉由輕巧的懸浮階梯引領居住者動線。
